The Use Of Aluminum Alloy Prototype Brush

Apr 06 , 2023 | Blog

Aluminum alloy material is a very common type in the production of prototypes. It has good strength and light weight; and it is very convenient for surface treatment, such as sandblasting oxidation,  brush oxidation, powder spraying, baking paint and so on! These surface treatments can make the hand model look more exquisite! Today we will talk about the commonly used process of  brush oxidation! This process is more commonly used on aluminum alloy prototypes, which can add a lot of color to the prototype. How much do you know about the surface brush process of the aluminum alloy hand model?

The surface brush process of the aluminum alloy hand plate model can be made into several types such as thick and thin lines, straight lines, random lines, corrugations, threads and spiral lines according to the needs of the product.

Random pattern brush is a kind of irregular, non-obvious matte silk pattern obtained by moving the aluminum alloy hand plate back and forth, left and right, under the high-speed running copper  brush. This kind of processing has higher requirements on the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy prototypes.

Straight grain brush refers to machining straight lines on the surface of the aluminum alloy hand plate by mechanical friction. It has the double function of removing scratches on the surface of the aluminum plate and decorating the surface of the aluminum plate. Corrugation is generally produced on a brushing machine or a rubbing machine. Utilize the axial movement of the upper group of grinding rollers to brush on the surface of aluminum or aluminum alloy plates to obtain wavy lines.

Brush is a repair process, and it can also play an aesthetic role. Because there are scratches on the metal surface, use a brush machine to make consistent scratches on the entire surface (reduce the wall thickness) to cover the local scratches, but the scratches are not good. Avoid, so it is commonly used. Brush not only removes scratches on the surface of the aluminum plate, but also has the dual function of beautifying the appearance of the decorative aluminum plate.

Generally, after brush, a layer of oxidation needs to be done on the surface of the aluminum surface! It can prevent discoloration of aluminum alloy and air contact, and can be made into various colors to enhance the beauty!
