What are some tips for sheet metal processing?

1. To prevent injuries caused by broken chips, a transparent baffle should be installed at an appropriate location.

2. When you need to use gauze to polish the surface of the workpiece, move the tool to a safe location and be careful not to let your hands and clothes come into contact with the surface of the workpiece. When grinding the inner hole, do not use your fingers to support the gauze. Use a wooden stick instead. At the same time, the vehicle speed should not be too fast.

3. It is prohibited to place tools, fixtures or workpieces on the lathe bed and spindle gearbox. Be focused when working. Fatigue operation, chat operation, multi-person operation, drunk operation, and smoking operation are prohibited.

4. Keep machine tools, tools, and work areas clean and tidy, and do a good job of handover. When cleaning the work area after get off work, turn off the power and put various tool handles in a safe place.

5. When turning workpieces with irregular shapes, a balance block should be installed and the machine should be turned and balanced before cutting.

6. The tool clamping must be firm, and the extended part of the tool head should not exceed 1.5 times the height of the tool body. The shape and size of the gasket under the tool should be consistent with the shape and size of the tool body. The gasket should be as few and flat as possible.

7. Except for lathes equipped with measuring tools that can automatically measure during operation, the workpiece should be measured after stopping the machine and moving the tool holder to a safe position.

8. Strip-shaped chips and long spiral chips generated during cutting should be eliminated in time using hooks, and it is strictly forbidden to pull them by hand.

9. Wear work clothes, tie cuffs, and wear protective glasses before working. Female workers should wear work caps and keep their long hair in hair care caps. It is prohibited to wear gloves when operating.

10. Loading and unloading the chuck on the lathe spindle must be done after stopping the machine. Do not use the power of the motor to remove the chuck.

11. It is best to use protective covers for the protruding parts of the chuck, dial, and chicken heart clamp that hold the workpiece to avoid snagging clothes and other parts of the body. If there is no protective cover, you should keep a certain distance during operation.

12. When using the center to clamp the workpiece, pay attention to the fact that the center of the center and the center hole of the spindle should be exactly the same. Do not use a damaged or skewed center. The center and center hole should be wiped clean before use, and the tailstock center should be firmly supported.

13. When turning slender workpieces, in order to ensure operational safety and processing quality, a tool rest or center rest should be used, and movable protective covers and safety signs should be installed for the processing parts beyond the scope of the lathe.
