When customers confirm the prototype model and place an order, the prototype drawing will usually be accompanied by a BOM list, which will indicate the color requirements of the prototype, such as matte or high gloss. Some customers can provide the color required for the prototype, but they cannot. Accurate color card number, at this time we need to confirm the color to the customer. The more common color cards in the prototype processing industry are Pantone color cards and RAL color cards, which require customers to choose.

The Pantone color card is a common color card for making prototype models. You can find the color you like through the color number above. After selecting the color, the spray master of the prototype factory knows the specific Pantone color number, and can use the color number to Adjust the oil and spray the product with color.

Before painting the plastic prototype model , the polisher must polish it first. During polishing, the polish must be smooth and the corners must be cleaned. There should be no obvious traces of glue bonding. The polishing process must be done several times. After polishing once, primer must be sprayed once.Polish it again, and then perform the final polishing process after adding dust and other processes.

The aluminum alloy prototype must be polished first before coloring. When polishing, the smoothness of the product, corner cleaning, etc. must be considered. In particular, attention must be paid to the accuracy requirements and no polishing is allowed. In addition, aluminum alloy prototypes are usually painted with metallic paint.

However, it is difficult to color some prototypes, such as PP, nylon and steel. Prototype models made of these materials generally do not need to be painted because they are easy to fade. These materials are suitable for prototypes with high wear resistance, mainly assembly parts such as gears, rather than appearance prototypes.

Regarding how to color prototype models, there is still a lot of knowledge that needs to be learned slowly, and it is not something that can be learned once and for all.
